Client Identifier:

  • A randomly generated UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) assigned to your installation

6. ADVERTISING (FREE VERSION ONLY)

Note: During the beta/pre-release phase, MediaboxMC does not display advertisements and no advertising SDK is active. The advertising functionality described below will be activated starting from the first official stable release (version 1.0).

The free version of MediaboxMC displays advertisements provided by a third-party advertising network.

6.1 Advertising Data Collection

The advertising SDK integrated in the free version may collect certain data to serve and measure advertisements, including:

  • Advertising identifier (resettable device ID for ad purposes)
  • General device information (screen size, OS version)
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
  • General location based on IP address (country/region level, not precise)

Note: The specific data collected depends on the advertising SDK used. This section will be updated with precise details when the advertising partner is finalized.

6.2 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

At first launch, you will be asked whether you consent to personalized advertising:

  • If you consent: Ads may be tailored to your interests based on data collected by the ad network
  • If you decline: Only non-personalized (contextual) ads will be shown; no interest-based profiling occurs

You can change your advertising preference at any time in Settings > Privacy.

The Premium version of MediaboxMC does not display advertisements and does not include any advertising SDK.
